Myofascial Massage

60 minutes: $100

Myofascial massage is a technique used to treat injuries and discomfort, reducing pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial massage differs from other types of massage in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on your range of motion and comfort level. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.

Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $100

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Bellanina Facelift Massage

60 minutes: $125

Bellanina Facelift Massage

The Bellanina Facelift Massage is described as "creating beauty with healing hands".  It is a luxurious, non-invasive approach to reversing the signs of aging through a series of massage strokes. It improves the elastin of the skin cells and enhances collagen. This treatment includes gently cleansing the face with botanical, cruelty-free products that are paraben and sulfate free. These products are formulated for all skin types.

The strokes in this facial massage include lymphatic drainage strokes, which takes puffiness out of the tissue; lifting and contouring massage strokes that define and re-shape the muscles in the face, and acupressure strokes that stimulate the entire meridian system of the body by supporting the immune function of the skin. The acupressure points balance the hormones including the stress hormones in the body. You will feel deeply refreshed after this treatment!

Dead skin is removed during this treatment, which encourages an increase in cellular turnover, making your face feel silky smooth. Removing the dead skin cells gives you a healthy glow by allowing the cells in the epidermis to reflect more light. By receiving this treatment -- especially on a regular basis -- the rate of cellular turnover on your facial skin is enhanced to 21 days. This is very important for skin health because as we age, the rate of cellular turnover slows down to as much as 45 days and can give you a pale, sallow look. Many people think they have dry flaky skin, when in reality, it is dead skin cells lingering on the surface of the face.

The facial oil used in this treatment will not clog your pores or make you break out. It lays on the surface of the skin to promote easy-glide massage strokes keeping your skin from getting rough and irritated.

A mask and massage with the Bellanina Invigorating Honeylift Massage Lotion is the signature component of the Bellanina Facelift Massage. It is known from historical texts that honey was Cleopatra's beauty secret.

Honey has many healing properties and is ideal for the face: it is a humectant which means it binds moisture to the cells of the skin; it is an anti-inflammatory and very soothing; it exfoliates the skin by breaking up sebum that collects in the pores; it is a natural antibiotic and puts a protective shield on the face to assist the skin as the body's first defense in the immune response. It is especially good for those living in the City and exposed to environmental pollutants on a regular basis. The massage techniques used with the honey are light, reverse tapping strokes which smooth-out fine lines and wrinkles on face.

Steam towels infused with lavender essential oil add to the soothing quality of the Bellanina Facelift Massage. They gently remove debris on the surface of the face, smooth-out fine lines and wrinkles, and are extremely relaxing. A cool towel infused with eucalyptus essential oil is a refreshing finish near the end of the session.

I apply toner, eye gel, moisturizer, and SPF30 Sun Screen to your face after the completion of the Bellanina Facelift Massage.

The cellular memory of the lifting stokes is reinforced by the use of a stockinette loosely tied under the chin and around the jaw line to the top of the head. During this rest period, you receive massage on the hands and feet. The Bellanina Facelift Massage also includes massage of the upper back, neck, shoulders, and scalp.

Besides the beauty-enhancing benefits from receiving this treatment, it is also indicated for headaches, congested sinuses, TMJ, and facial paralysis.

The sacred energies of the chakras are a part of this treatment: the crown, third eye, throat and heart. Grounding is done at the feet to allow a soothing balanced feeling before you return to the "real" world.

You will notice a difference after a single treatment, but the most dramatic results come with a series.  A series can be from 4-12 sessions done within a specified period of time depending on your anti-aging goals, lifestyle, and condition of the skin on your face. I can help you with determining the best frequency for you.

Feel free to bring make-up and hair products to apply before you leave the treatment room. Make-up goes on very nicely and evenly after the Bellanina Facelift Massage. Your hair is wrapped with a towel for the duration of the session.

Men enjoy this treatment as well. The only request is a clean-shaven face.

Pregnancy Massage

60 minutes: $100

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.

Pregnancy massage allows the mother and baby "nesting" time. This is a valuable opportunity for both mother and baby to connect in a way that is entirely different than sleep. Fathers and partners are welcome to join us at the end of the treatment to receive instruction from me on home techniques to assist the mother in between massage appointments.

Permission from your doctor is requested. Not available for high-risk pregnancies.

Lymphatic Massage

60 minutes: $100

Lymphatic Massage (not to be confused with Lymphatic Drainage Massage) is ideal for anyone needing an immune boost. The job of lymph fluid is to move metabolites out of the tissue. There is more lymph fluid in the body than blood. The heart pumps blood throughout the body, but circulation of lymph depends on your activity level. If you are active, your body does this very well on its own. If you are sedentary, feeling sluggish, getting over an illness, immune compromised, experiencing fluid retention related to minor surgery or your menstrual cycle, lymphatic massage is a good treatment choice for you. Some clients schedule on a regular basis just because they feel so refreshed after receiving a lymph massage. This treatment is face up and is designed to move lymph by stimulating the spleen (the organ associated with lymph) and the lymph receptors at the bottom of the feet and gently moving the lymph up the lymph vessels with light, pumping massage strokes inside of the legs, through the groin and abdomen to the main lymph duct at the sternum. Lymph is also moved near the top of the body and under the arm pits. A pressure of about one pound is used so the lymph vessels do not collapse and lymph fluid can be successfully moved throughout the body. The pacing of the strokes mimics the alpha brain wave, so you will find yourself in a semi-meditative state. Once the lymph strokes are completed, you will have a 15-20 minute rest period on the massage table before you get dressed and leave the massage room. Proper draping techniques ensures modesty throughout this treatment.

Energy Work

60 minutes: $100

Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a "life force", and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.

The techiques I use are: Reiki, Quantum Lightweaving, Eden Energy Medicine, Pranic Healing and Kahuna Healing.

Acupressure

60 minutes: $100

Acupressure is based on one the most ancient principles of healing - that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health in the body. In an acupressure session, I apply firm pressure directly to these "points" on your body, which relieves your muscle tension and improves your circulation. This simple and powerful technique has been shown to very effective in treating headaches, backaches, and even insomnia.

Reflexology

60 minutes: $100

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Sports Massage

60 minutes: $100

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who engage in athletics. Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body's natural immune function.

Trigger Point Therapy

60 minutes: $100

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.

Reiki

60 minutes: $100

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy system in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms strengthen, helping to establish optimum health. During a session, I work directly with your energy field to remove blockages, detoxify your system, and restore your vital life force energy. Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands to conduct the necessary energy force between us. The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain.

BT Microcurrent Facial

50 minutes: $125

Microcurrent is a front runner among the cutting edge, non-invasive, facelift technologies. The Bio-Ultimate Gold is a pre-programmed device utilizing the patented Suzuki Sequencing produced and scientifically tested by the Bio-Therapeutic Company located in Seattle, Washington.

This device emits a low-frequency electrical current mimicking the body’s natural current causing the muscles to contract and move. The Age Defying Facial is designed to significantly improve the appearance of the skin by toning and contouring the muscles of the face and neck, and softening fine lines and wrinkles.

Microcurrent technology has been proven to increase Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) — which is the life force of the cell. With the application of this facial,  the decrease of ATP as we age is counteracted by increasing the health, function and life activity of the cell.  With a series of treatments you will see that the muscle re-education establishes a youthful muscle memory with the added visual benefit of increased oxygen and blood flow to the muscle tissue. This naturally increases the production of collagen and elastin in the cells of the skin. Products that are applied at the conclusion of the session have amplified penetration and absorption because of  the microcurrent’s ability to increase iontophoresis in the facial tissue.

The most dramatic results are obtained through a series of treatments recommended in an initial series of 8-15 treatments two or three times a week with a follow-up maintenance treatment every 6-8 weeks.

Amount and frequency of the series varies with age, appearance/health of the skin, lifestyle and desired results.

Marilyn Fumagalli is a trained and certified Microcurrent Technician by Bio-Therapeutic, Seattle Washington, September 2016.

This is a general guideline to how many sessions you may need according to your age. We will discuss what will work best in your individual situation:
